Les "Pays de la Loire" is a dynamic region and the sectors of electronics and ICT represent a significant share of jobs in the region, spread over all the territory, serving diversified end markets.
Number of jobs: 30 351, or 4% of wage employment in the region, divided within 2 230 establishments (0.8% of businesses in the region)
Also, mainly electronics companies have formed a chain, called ETIC. This group formed among key industry players: EOLANE, TRONICO, CREATIVE EURECOM, FAPRONIC,…. and whose animation is covered by the ICC of Maine-et-Loire, is strongly supported by public authorities (State and Region).
In one year of existence, this group has managed to launch concrete projects, innovative, which have already begun to bear fruit. These results are especially encouraging that the sector is a local initiative, created by players on the basis of limited resources.
The State and the Region des Pays de la Loire support this approach.

Electronics, in the wide sense, is the second industrial employer, with more than 28,000 employees. Leaders are manufacturers of electronic and computer components and equipment : NEC, Thomson Electronics, EOLANE, THALES, Lacroix Electronique, Tronico and Cofidur are among the major names.
